Producers and consumers are different in many ways. There are more consumers than producers. Consumer eat the producers. They are both similar for many reasons. They are both living things. A consumer and a producer both need energy to live. One is a plant and the other is an animal. They both can't live without water.Producers grow rootsb and consumers don't grow roots.
